The races start times for the 2011-2012 season are as follows

U11 Boys / Girls 1.00pm

U13 Boys / Girls 1.10pm
U15 Boys / Girls 1.20pm
U17 Youths / Inters 1.35pm
Senior Ladies 1.50pm
Senior Men 2.30pm

New Juniors Group

The new U9 Group had their first training together last night at the new time of 6pm - 7pm

 

 

It was a fun session & if you know of any Junior Athletes that would like to join our new group, please let us know!

Onwards & Upwards

Sunday 11^th November marked the start of the 2012/13 Season Athletics Track & Field Competitions with the Dash Indoor Quadrathlon at Sportcity. There was 146 athletes competing in age groups U9 – U17.

Now in the U15G Category, Beth Farrington was up against a strong older field of 23 competitors in her age group, however the 1^st event being the 60m sprint was a close run event with only 1.4 secs difference from 1^st to Last. The 800m was unusual being run on a curved indoor 200m track and the 2 other events were Long Jump & Shot Put.

Beth finished 2^nd in the 3.25k Shot & 15^th Overall

The training schedules for Juniors and athletes with disabilities are as follows:

	Tuesday	Thursday
6pm – 7pm	Ages 6,7 & 8	Athletes With Disabilities
7pm – 8pm	Age 9 & Above	Age 9 & Above

(note: 8 year olds who were already members on 01/10/2012 will move on a Tuesday to the earlier session and be allowed to continue in the Thursday 7-8pm sessions if they wish)

(note: New starters Ages 6,7 & 8 will only be allowed to train on a Tuesday 6-7pm)

Juniors Compete at Heaton Park XC

Last weekend Rochdale's Juniors represented the Club in the South East Lancashire cross country fixture at Heaton Park.  The Juniors put in some tremendous performances.
